8 Amazing Changes My Menstrual Cup Brought ❤️

I have been using my menstrual cup for almost 2 years and it has been one of the best decisions I have made. I’m always trying to spread awareness about it to my girlfriends and other women I know because it has changed my life in so many ways:

❤️ Sleeping better: since the cup can be worn for 12 hours (which is usually as long as I wear it), I can sleep comfortably through the night.

❤️ Not having to worry about cleaning it throughout the day: Most work days, I have the cup in from about 7 am - 7 pm or a similar 12 hour stretch. This means I don’t need to worry about changing it midway. Of course, if you have a heavier cycle this may vary and you also don’t want to exceed the 12 hour limit, but this has just been my own experience!

❤️ I can wear what I want confidently: I always struggled with leaks back when I used pads but the cup has changed it for me completely! There are a couple of quick ways to validate whether the cup is properly fitted in and after that, you have nothing to worry about the rest of the day!

❤️ No trash - better for the environment: I have become so much more eco friendly in the last few years and not contributing to trash in little ways like using a reusable menstrual product has been amazing.

❤️ Saving money - I paid about $25 for my first cup (and $30 for another because my dog destroyed it eventually lol) but that little investment can last up to 10 years. No more monthly spending on menstrual products!

❤️ Understanding my body better: I hadn’t used internal menstrual products before and seemed to avoid it altogether. Using a menstrual cup was like a journey of self-discovery and getting closer with myself which I loved!

❤️ Feels natural and more comfortable: since most menstrual products are made from artificial materials that absorb your flow, they often interact with and disrupt your body’s natural cycle. A menstrual cup is made solely to collect without interacting with your natural ecosystem. It felt far more comfortable than any other products I had used.

❤️ Feeling at peace with my cycle: I never thought there would be a time when I’d stop disliking my period and thinking it was working against me. Truly, the cup has changed that for me. There is no easier way to say it 🙂

The cup does have a slight learning curve (about 1-3 cycles) but is so quick and convenient once you’ve gotten the hang of it. I would love to do another post on all my tips and tricks since I started off as a complete newbie to internal menstrual products! Let me know if you’re interested :)

Thank you and I hope this post may help you consider or reconsider getting a cup!! I’m here for any concerns or questions ❤️☺️
