✨2026 Journal Ecosystem✨

I picked up journaling (again) in 2025 and I’m so thankful that it’s been a really fulfilling journey so far. Prepping this post made me a little emotional because of how much it reminded me of journaling’s impact on my life!

My Daily Personal Journal / Work Planner / Stations Exploration Journal / Junk Journal are all from Muji! I love Muji! And my Response Art Journal was gifted by a friend, my first Midori journal. It’s a cute little square-shaped one 🥹✨

I’ll continue to share more about journaling here so see you real soon!✨🤍

... Read moreBuilding a personalized journal ecosystem can truly transform your daily routine and spark creativity. For 2026, I’ve assembled a variety of journals tailored for specific aspects of my life — from a daily personal journal reflecting on moments to gain fresh perspectives, to a work planner designed to manage my illustration projects with dated pages and brainstorming spreads. One of my favorite additions is the "Stations & Stories" journal, where I explore and chronicle Singapore’s train stations during my days off. This combination of travel, storytelling, and journaling makes each entry feel like a mini-adventure and offers a refreshing break from everyday tasks. I also love incorporating a junk journal into my ecosystem. It lets me turn scraps and textures into treasured pages, blending scrapbooking techniques with traditional journaling. This creative outlet not only recycles materials but adds a tactile, artistic dimension to my collection. Using journals from brands like Muji and Midori adds an aesthetic charm and reliable quality that motivates me to keep writing and creating. The cute square-shaped Midori response art journal is perfect for quick sketches or spontaneous thoughts. If you're starting your own journal ecosystem, consider what aspects of your life or creativity you want to document. Maybe create separate journals for personal reflection, work planning, creative explorations, and even travel or hobbies. Having a dedicated space for each type of journaling keeps your process organized and inspiring. I encourage you to experiment with different journal styles and formats, and don’t hesitate to mix functional planners with artistic journals. Journaling isn’t just about recording your days — it’s about embracing life more fully, finding lightheartedness in small moments, and crafting a personal narrative uniquely yours.

Decorating my 2026 personal journal (the final prep), before I share my journal ecosystem for next year. Soooo excited!! It’s always so much fun (and mess) to be decorating journal covers 🥹 I get my stickers from various art markets, Daiso, and a few are designed by myself ✨📝 #journalcover

You should start journaling in 2026 📖
As the new year approaches, I am trying to hold myself more accountable with managing my life. Whether it’s my personal or work life, I’ve decided that I should be more aware of what I’m feeling or experienced in my daily life instead of just going through the motions and trying to get by each day.

okay so 😭 i’ve always wanted to keep a journal, but every time i opened a blank page my brain would immediately go “nah” turns out i just wanted to doodle instead ✏️ so i made Joodle — a tiny journaling app where you can record your day with little doodles, random sketches, chaotic thought
