Your 40s give you permission

In my 40s, I’ve learned one of the most freeing lessons of all: I don’t have to be the same person I was yesterday. My likes and dislikes have changed, my priorities have shifted, and I no longer feel the need to justify it. You have every right to evolve—whether that means changing what you eat, how you spend your time, who you surround yourself with, or simply saying no without guilt. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for outgrowing places, habits, or relationships that no longer serve you. Peace comes when you stop seeking approval and start honoring yourself. So if you’ve been waiting for permission to put yourself first, here it is.

And if I say no to you, for whatever reason, know it was with thought, consideration & it's not you. It's all me.

... Read moreEntering your 40s often brings a newfound clarity that can be both liberating and daunting. As we navigate through this decade, many of us begin to reassess what truly matters. With changing preferences and shifting priorities, it becomes essential to recognize the right to evolve. This evolution may manifest itself through lifestyle changes, experimenting with new interests, or even re-evaluating relationships that no longer benefit your mental and emotional well-being. Self-acceptance and prioritizing your needs become crucial at this stage. Learning to say no can empower you, allowing space for activities and people that bring genuine joy and fulfillment. You are not required to justify your choices to anyone. Instead, celebrating your individuality and honoring your decisions leads to peace and satisfaction. Moreover, this process of self-discovery doesn’t just enhance your own life, but it positively influences those around you. When you choose to put yourself first, you model a healthy approach to self-care for others, inspiring them to do the same. Embrace the journey of your 40s—it's your time to shine and evolve authentically.
