Charm Thai Eatery just opened in Kitsilano from the same team behind Zab Bite, Vancouver’s Michelin Guide-recommended Thai restaurant on Fraser Street. This is their second concept and it is absolutely stunning.

It is almost impossible to find Thai food abroad that is more delicious than the one you get in Thailand. But Charm is one of them. That is not something I say lightly.
I genuinely could not pick a favourite — everything was delicious. Some of these dishes are hard to find even in Thailand. If you love Thai food, this is a must visit.

One of my favorite experiences there was the Hor Mok Seafood, a traditional steamed seafood custard made with coconut milk. Its rich and aromatic flavor profile instantly transports you to a traditional Thai kitchen. The Tom Yum Fried Rice stands out as well, offering a bold and punchy taste with a depth of tom yum spices and herbs that hit the perfect balance of sour, spicy, and savory notes. For those who enjoy a variety, the Small Bites Platter is an excellent choice, presenting a harmonious sampling of different textures and tastes to share around the table. What impressed me most was how Charm reinvents typical Thai dishes with little twists, like the Roasted Duck Red Curry that includes grapes, creating an extraordinary sweet-savory combination. The Herbal Grilled Chicken is another highlight—not just perfectly charred and fragrant, but also deeply satisfying as a main dish. Pairing these with their unique beverage selections like the Thai Oasis, a refreshing coffee with coconut water, or the Chrys and Charmed cocktail, makes the dining experience even more memorable. Charm's daily happy hour from 11am to 5pm and live music events every Tuesday and Thursday add an inviting vibe to the restaurant, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family. Their Summer Special Siamese Oyster Platter also offers excellent value and flavor, a must-try seasonal treat. From personal experience, what sets Charm apart is not only the quality and thoughtfulness in their food preparation and presentation but also the genuine passion for delivering a true Thai culinary experience abroad.
