Oakberry just opened a brand new location in Kerrisdale on West Boulevard and they have a frozen matcha base for your bowl 🫐🍵

Oakberry is a global açaí brand founded in São Paulo, Brazil in 2016, now with over 900 locations across 45 countries. Their açaí is responsibly sourced straight from Brazil’s Amazon Rainforest. Certified organic, no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial colours.

Here is what I tried at the new Kerrisdale location 👇

🍵 New: Frozen Matcha Base

A fresh, vibrant green alternative to the classic açaí base available at this new Kerrisdale location. Earthy, slightly sweet and beautiful to look at.

🫐 My custom bowl:

Frozen Matcha Base topped with blueberry, coconut, cacao nibs, peanut butter, almond and chia seeds. Unlimited toppings with no extra charge. Completely customizable to whatever you love.

☕ Hojicha Maple Latte with Oat Milk

Hojicha is a Japanese green tea. The lesser-known cousin of matcha. Unlike matcha’s vibrant green, hojicha has been charcoal roasted at temperatures between 160 and 200 degrees Celsius, giving it a warm reddish-brown tone and a mellow, nutty, toasty flavour with cocoa notes.

Only about 15mg of caffeine per cup, roughly one-fifth of a cup of coffee. While matcha energizes you, hojicha calms you. Perfect for anyone sensitive to caffeine or looking for an evening drink.

With maple syrup and oat milk, absolutely perfect.

... Read moreVisiting the new Oakberry location in Kerrisdale offers an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy healthy, organic superfood bowls and innovative drinks. The frozen matcha base caught my attention as a refreshing alternative to traditional açaí, with its vibrant green hue and earthy, slightly sweet flavor. I found it a great option, especially when paired with fresh blueberries, coconut flakes, cacao nibs, and a mix of nuts and seeds for extra crunch and nutrition. This customization freedom truly enhances the experience, allowing you to build a bowl tailored to your tastes and dietary preferences. What sets Oakberry apart, beyond its tasty offerings, is the commitment to sustainability and authentic sourcing. Their açaí is responsibly harvested from the Amazon Rainforest and certified organic, which aligns well with conscious eating habits. The absence of high fructose corn syrup and artificial colors makes it a safer and healthier indulgence. Equally noteworthy is the hojicha maple latte with oat milk. Hojicha, a less common Japanese green tea that's roasted for a nutty, mellow flavor, provides a soothing, low-caffeine drink that's perfect for evenings or those sensitive to caffeine. Combined with the natural sweetness of maple syrup and creamy oat milk, it's a delicious complement to your bowl or a stand-alone treat. Joining the Oakberry Club is a bonus, as frequent visitors earn Oakoins, which can lead to rewards and free treats, adding value to each visit. For anyone new to Kerrisdale, a health-conscious foodie, or simply a fan of açaí and tea-based drinks, this new Oakberry spot offers a vibrant community hub and a fresh stop for nutritious snacks and drinks. Remember to check the latest opening hours on Google Maps before your visit, as the location is newly opened and hours may vary. Overall, my experience at Oakberry Kerrisdale was refreshing and delightful, and I look forward to trying more combinations in the future. If you enjoy customizable, nutritious bowls with an option like frozen matcha and savory warm drinks like hojicha latte, this place is definitely worth a visit.
