This has been a challenging year.
I always think about how social media is the “highlight reel” of everyone’s journey through life. And while I love sharing the highlights, it’s never the full picture. Being an artist is truly so rewarding & I feel so lucky to wake up and do this everyday. But at the same time— it’s a constant challenge— mentally, physically, financially, and creatively.
Seeing the world in the state that is right now and feeling exhausted and overwhelmed like the rest of us.. then jumping on stage with a smile and trying to cheer people up…. Challenging. This show was particularly hard for me mentally— there is a lot of craziness happening right now affecting those I love.
But one thing that’s so special, is the fact that music has the power to connect and uplift us all— ESPECIALLY live. Getting offstage and hugging someone who drove 3 hours to see you and seeing their face smiling. Meeting someone for the first time who is wearing your t shirt and singing the songs with you in the front… the best feeling.
This is what it’s all about. Now more than ever we need community and support. Because while life will never be “easy” — it’s a hell of a lot more fun with music, friends, and support.

Being an artist involves not only celebrating achievements but also facing numerous challenges, particularly in today's societal climate. Many artists find joy in performing live, which allows them to connect deeply with their audience. This connection is crucial, as it creates a sense of community and support that can help ease the burdens of daily life. The current landscape has presented hurdles, but music remains a powerful force of unity and empowerment. Artists often use their platforms to share authentic experiences, revealing that behind every highlight are struggles and realities that can inspire others. Discussions surrounding mental health, financial uncertainty, and the pressure to deliver can weigh heavily on creators, yet the love from fans and the shared experience of music can foster resilience. As we navigate these challenging times, it's important to celebrate the moments of joy and connection that art can bring, reminding us that we are not alone in our journeys.
