How do I get better? Trying a different technique
Nighttime coloring session - August is over so it’s Halloween season now, right?! I’m learning now to use alcohol based markers. It’s so fast to color with them but that also makes it hard. Anyways, will be trying out new techniques soon.
What technique should I try? And any tips on how to get better faster? lol

Trying new coloring techniques with alcohol-based markers can be both exciting and challenging. These markers are prized for their fast drying time and vibrant colors, but mastering them requires practice and the right approach. One effective method to improve quickly is to experiment with layering colors; start with a light tone and gradually add darker shades for depth and dimension. Blending is another key skill—with alcohol markers, you can blend colors seamlessly by working quickly while the ink is still wet. Additionally, using smooth, bleed-proof paper designed for alcohol markers can prevent ink from spreading uncontrollably and help colors appear more vivid. Practice creating gradients and textures by varying pressure and stroke direction. For those interested in coloring books, especially themed ones like Halloween or simple rubber duck designs, integrating shading and highlights will bring illustrations to life and enhance your coloring therapy experience. Engaging with coloring communities through hashtags like #coloringbookforadults and #coloringtherapy can provide inspiration and valuable tips. Set small, achievable goals for each session and don't be afraid to try unconventional techniques or tools, such as blending pens or colorless blenders, which can elevate your work further. Remember that regular practice, patience, and exploring diverse techniques are key to accelerating your progress and making coloring sessions a delightful creative outlet.
