long lasting at home nails tool kit 💅🏽
I’ve been doing my nails at home for over five years now!✨ I finally whittled it down to only using my favorite products & ditching the rest.
I used to do acrylic nails, but honestly gel-x is so much faster and I think the result is so much more consistent which is why it’s the only way I do my nails now.
LED LAMP: For my big nail lamp, I use the modelones brand. This one in particular is my favorite because I love that the cord actually comes out for storage. Plus, it is not too big. A lot of lamps are ginormousssss and that makes storing them a hassle. This one does still fit two hands, but you just need to be a little bit careful obviously not to touch your nails to each other or your other fingers😇. It turns on automatically when you stick your fingers in there and it also has 30 60 and 90 second timers.
FLASH CURE LAMP: for my small flash lamp, I use the one that came with a nail art kit i got a while ago from the brand BT art box. this has become my favorite flash cure lamp because it does have a button on the bottom and I find that the ones that rely on a sensor tend to go out very quickly. Mine get used a lot because I do a lot of my nieces nails💗
DRILL: when it comes to my electric drill, this one is actually brandless. I have no idea what brand it is, but I do know that they have plenty of options on Amazon so just make sure that you get one with good reviews.
NAIL CUTTER: For the nail cutter, you definitely can use regular nail clippers, but they do not get the whole across the nail and sometimes they can actually cause the nails to crack if you get it at the wrong spot. The one i have is from Sally’s! I will say when you’re using the big nail cutter for the nail tips make sure that you’re going at an angle kind of diagonal from the finger because otherwise it might actually hurt and pull on the nail tip. 🫶
FILES: For files, literally any files will work. 🫧
NAIL TIPS: For nail tips, I exclusively use the brand of beetles. These are strong enough to last on your nails for even up to two months I’ve had since last that long. But they are also flexible enough for when you’re putting them on you’re gonna be able to work out any air bubbles as you’re curing your glue. Right now I have the almond nail tips from the brand beetles, but they also have all different shapes and lengths. 😇
GLUE: lastly, the glue I also use the brand of BTR box for my glue. I used to use the brand beetles for my gel glue but I find it. This one actually seems to last a lot longer. The only time I have an issue with this particular gel glue for my nails is when I use any priming products. I know that sounds silly because the biggest thing when it comes to doing your nails and then lasting is priming them but the actual priming products do not seem to go with the glue that well for me.
