welcome to my moving series as a 23 yr old RN living in NYC! 🏡
Here’s a part 1 of everything I got for my new apartment living in NYC! 💗
Moving to a new apartment, especially in a bustling city like New York, can be an exhilarating yet overwhelming experience. As a registered nurse balancing a demanding schedule, I found that having the right tools and organization products made a huge difference in settling into my new space. One of the first items I unpacked was a heavy-duty folding utility wagon. This proved invaluable not only for moving heavy or multiple items from building to building but also for quick trips to the grocery store or carrying laundry to a laundromat. It’s compact when folded but offers sturdy support, which makes city living more manageable. Bathroom organization was another priority for me. I chose labeled storage boxes for Q-tips, cotton pads, and cotton balls because having these small items neatly grouped prevents clutter and saves time during my busy mornings. The durability of these boxes makes them ideal for frequent use. For the living area, adding personal touches like a modern wood coffee table and a stylish vase for fresh flowers helped turn the apartment into a cozy home. These little accents not only elevate the space visually but also create a relaxing atmosphere essential after long nursing shifts. Additionally, everyday items like an ice cream scooper might seem trivial but add comfort and ease to my lifestyle. It’s the small, personal choices that make the apartment truly feel like my own. Unboxing and organizing these essentials not only prepared my apartment for daily life but also gave me a sense of accomplishment in creating my own space in NYC. For anyone moving to a busy city, I’d recommend investing in versatile and durable organizers and practical tools that simplify daily routines. It’s these thoughtful choices that transform a bare apartment into a functional and welcoming home.
