Sometimes there is more to the story
The first time i walked this labyrinth I was so confused by the tree. Why was it in the middle of the path?
Then I realized the path had been built around it and that it is dedicated to a labor and delivery nurse.
Nearby are memorials to babies who died and to the nurses who cared for them.
The longer I sat with it, the more I realized this tree wasn’t an obstacle in the path.
It was part of the journey.
A reminder that life and loss, grief and growth, often exist side by side.
Sometimes healing isn’t about leaving something behind.
Sometimes it’s about learning how to keep walking while carrying it.
