Hair tips

One of the most useful practices is to avoid overwashing your hair. Washing only 2-3 times a week with a sulfate-free shampoo prevents stripping natural oils, which keeps hair moisturized and less prone to breakage. Conditioning is crucial, but applying conditioner only to the ends of the hair rather than the roots helps prevent oiliness and scalp buildup. I also make sure to rinse my conditioned hair with cold water, which helps close the cuticles and adds shine. Heat styling can cause significant damage, so using the lowest effective heat setting and applying a heat protectant spray beforehand can minimize damage. Additionally, I avoid tight hairstyles that pull on the hair follicles because they can lead to breakage and hair loss. Finally, regularly massaging the scalp for a few minutes daily has not only felt relaxing but also seems to boost blood flow, promoting healthier hair growth. Trimming hair every 6-8 weeks prevents split ends from traveling up the strands, maintaining hair strength and appearance. By combining these tips with a balanced diet rich in vitamins and adequate hydration, my hair has become noticeably healthier, softer, and more resilient. Consistency is key—small changes in routine make a big difference over time.
