The only fitness goal you should have...

1️⃣beat your old self.

I know that’s kind of obvious right? But you can beat your old self in so many ways that will ultimately lead you to all these other goals you have in mind. It’s also a lot easier to break up your goals in smaller pieces, reach them, then build momentum and keep it rolling. When goals are too large it’s hard to see the steps in between to get there and if you just focus on beating your old self and getting 1% better each day, you won’t ever lose.

... Read moreIn the world of fitness, the mindset of continuous improvement is paramount. Setting a fitness goal to beat your old self emphasizes the importance of personal progress. Small, incremental changes lead to significant improvements over time. This goal not only helps in achieving a healthier lifestyle but also fosters mental resilience. When the objective is to get just 1% better each day, it becomes more manageable and less daunting. Accountability and consistency play vital roles in this process. Embrace this one-on-one competition with your past self and celebrate every small victory along the way. Utilize various tools like fitness trackers or apps that monitor your progress, making adjustments as necessary. Incorporate diverse workouts to prevent stagnation and keep things exciting. Remember, it’s not just about lifting heavier weights or running faster; it’s about feeling better, both physically and mentally. Engage with communities that support this ethos, whether online or at your local gym. This way, you’ll find encouragement and motivation in your journey. Emphasize personal development over comparison, and soon, you’ll find that you not only beat your old self but also inspire others to embark on their own fitness journeys.
