RAMEN TIME

Hello zesties 🍋

Today my adventures take me to Tanjong Pagar! It’s one of my favourite places because of the abundance of Korean food and nightlife 🤩 And right here at Orchid Hotel L1 lies two of my favourite Japanese restaurants, and I’m at Tonkotsu Ramen King Keisuke!

First, the experience is super authentic, with the cozy shop size, the dine-and-go experience for ramen places similar to Japan! (you aren’t encouraged to stay for hours like other restaurants), and the decor is mainly vintage Japanese posters as seen in my last pic!

Food wise, it arrives SUPER fast and everything about the ramen is amazing. Broth is tasty, hanjuku eggs are seasoned right and taste is great (maybe my photo doesn’t do it justice), and my Premium option comes with these giant slices of Chashu! There’s also free flow hard boiled eggs and beansprouts available, which honestly I didn’t eat much of as the ramen was super filling.

Overall, it’s easily one of my favourites and one of my go-to spots in Tanjong Pagar if you are craving a good bowl of Ramen. Un-gatekeeping this spot for you guys if you don’t already know of it 🙂

Also for noodle hardness the answer is always katamen (hard), it’s GOATed

Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King (Orchid Hotel)

... Read moreAside from the main ramen dishes, one of the highlights here is the free-flow hard boiled eggs and specialty bean sprouts served exclusively for dine-in customers. These little extras add a nice touch of variety without overwhelming the rich flavors of the ramen itself. The ambiance, inspired by vintage Japanese posters, truly transports you to a ramen shop in Japan. If you’re particular about your noodle texture, I’d recommend ordering your noodles katamen (hard), which I’ve found brings out the best chewiness and pairs perfectly with the umami-packed tonkotsu broth. Being a fan of speedy, flavorful meals, I appreciate how quickly my ramen arrived here without compromising taste or quality. Also, as someone who loves exploring food spots in Tanjong Pagar, I can say that Keisuke’s ramen is definitely one of my go-to places for satisfying a ramen craving. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot is worth including in your food adventure itinerary. The convenient location at Orchid Hotel makes it easy to combine with other nearby eateries and nightlife. In summary, Tonkotsu Ramen King Keisuke offers a genuine ramen experience with excellent broth, toppings, and speedy service that ramen lovers in Tanjong Pagar shouldn’t miss.

It’s the KOTTERI collagen ramen style 🍜 super thick, rich, and coats the noodles (the kind of broth people describe as almost “foamy/creamy” like a cappuccino top). So yummy + thick and there’s a smoky aftertaste that's 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼. Tip: go 6:30pm, the shop is small so queues can get brutal if yo
