ROOTED got approved… and it’s officially a campus ministry 😭🙌

Hey family, this is something so close to my heart. God allowed me to start ROOTED at Paul Quinn College, and our mission is to birth lovers of the presence of God by building a Christ-centered community where students can grow spiritually, intellectually, and personally 🌱

We’re getting ready for Future Tigers Day, where we’ll be connecting with prospective students and inviting them into a life of purpose, community, and spiritual growth.

But to be real… we need help 🤍

Starting ROOTED as an officially recognized campus ministry has truly been a transformative experience. From my perspective, establishing a spiritual community within a college setting not only nurtures faith but also creates a support system for students navigating academic and personal challenges. One key aspect I’ve learned is the importance of involving and empowering students to take ownership, which encourages authentic spiritual growth and leadership development. Engaging in events like Future Tigers Day offers incredible opportunities to connect with prospective students who may be searching for a place to belong and a purpose beyond academics. Having well-prepared ministry supplies and attractive table setups can really make a difference in drawing attention and sparking meaningful conversations. Using tools like an Amazon registry proved to be a practical way to organize needed resources and invite generosity from the community. Also, personalized elements such as custom tablecloths add a welcoming, professional touch that reflects the ministry's heart and vision. Ultimately, building ROOTED mirrors the broader Kingdom work — it’s about creating an environment where individuals can grow spiritually and form lasting relationships rooted in faith. This journey has underscored for me how vital it is to embrace both prayer and practical planning to fulfill God’s calling effectively in a college ministry context.
