Living life nowadays without any social media is unrealistic. But I must say, challenge yourself to a break and you’ll see how you much time and energy this stuff really takes from you. Everything in moderation ;) honestly wouldn’t have traded this trip and mental reset for anything in the world, well maybe one thing... #motivation #selfimprovement #fitness #travel #mentalhealth

One of the biggest changes was how much extra time I suddenly had. Tasks like making breakfast or prepping meals turned from rushed chores into deliberate, enjoyable activities. This simple change brought a refreshing sense of calm and satisfaction to my day. Being away from the constant scroll of updates helped me become more present in each moment. Without the distraction of checking notifications, I found it easier to focus on conversations, nature, and my surroundings. It felt like truly living in real time rather than through a screen. An unexpected benefit was learning to embrace boredom. Initially, I felt restless without the habitual social media distractions, but soon my mind began to wander creatively. Reflective thoughts and new ideas started to flow, which I hadn’t experienced in a long time. I also realized how much social media had conditioned me to compare my life to others. Without that ongoing comparison, I started appreciating my own experiences more deeply and found greater fulfillment in daily interactions and memories as they were made. Overall, this month-long social media reset helped me recharge mentally and improved my self-awareness. Moderation remains key, but I would highly encourage others to challenge themselves with a social media break to regain control over their time, boost fitness and mental health, and reconnect with what really matters.
