I tried making the STACK A MEAL recipe recently, and it’s surprisingly simple yet satisfying. One thing I found helpful was to use leftover rice instead of freshly boiled rice — it holds up better and layers nicely on the plate. For the ground meat, I prefer lean beef or turkey to keep the dish a bit lighter. Don’t skip the sauce! The combination of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper gives the meat excellent flavor. I like to simmer the sauce a bit longer for a richer taste. Also, mixing some sautéed onions and garlic into the meat before adding the sauce adds a nice depth of flavor. Using frozen corn or peas works perfectly and saves prep time. You could also try adding other vegetables such as bell peppers or green beans for extra color and nutrition. Lastly, a good sharp cheddar cheese really makes a difference — I shredded it fresh to melt perfectly on top. This meal stacks easily in bowls or plates, making it an ideal comfort food for busy weeknights. It’s also very customizable depending on what you have on hand, which is a big plus in my kitchen. Overall, STACK A MEAL is a delicious, hearty, and easy recipe that I’ll definitely keep making.
