1 / 18 Non-metastatic cancer-early serious disease
Non-metastatic cancer is early cancer in which cancer cells are still limited to the site where they occur (such as the epithelial layer of the progenitor organ) and have not spread to tissues or side organs; cancer cells have not yet spread into side tissues or passed into lymph nodes or other organs.
In general, this stage usually refers to stage 0 (Carcinoma in situ) or stage 1-2 of cancer, which has a small cancer nodule size and is only growing inside the organ and has not yet been spread out, making it highly likely to be cured and very effective. Especially if detected from this stage, the chances of surviving and restoring the organ to function well are very high.
For example, early breast cancer (stage 1-2) has a small nodule size and does not spread to the lymph nodes or spread to other organs. Treatment usually uses a lumpectomy, and often yields good therapies with a high chance of healing.
