My peace lily is not giving me peace 🌿😩
I’ve found that my peace lily wasn't giving me the calm and beauty I expected because I wasn’t following a consistent care routine. One thing I learned is that peace lilies need indirect sunlight; too much direct sun can scorch their leaves, while too little light slows down their growth. Watering is another tricky part. Peace lilies like their soil moist but not soggy. Overwatering can lead to root rot, and underwatering causes drooping leaves. I started checking soil moisture every few days and adjusting my watering accordingly. Also, misting the leaves occasionally helped with humidity, especially in dry indoor environments. Another helpful tip is to clean dust off the leaves regularly. I noticed my plant corner wasn’t thriving partly because the peace lily’s leaves had a layer of dust, blocking photosynthesis. Wiping them gently keeps the plant healthier and looking vibrant. Finally, using a well-draining potting mix and repotting your peace lily every couple of years prevents the roots from becoming cramped, promoting better growth. By establishing a proper plant care routine including appropriate lighting, watering, humidity, and cleaning, I finally noticed my peace lily becoming the peaceful and lush companion I hoped for.
