Running Chakra Activated
1/5 First run of the year. Not too bad
Starting my running journey this year with a 2.37-mile run at Kiest Park was an invigorating experience. While my pace averaged 16 minutes per mile, I felt that every step helped me reconnect with my body’s rhythm—a concept I like to call 'activating the running chakra.' This term represents syncing mind and body during a run, aiming for a smooth, mindful stride that builds stamina and endurance over time. I used Strava to track my route and pace, which helped me stay motivated and provided a visual map of my progress. Technology like this is invaluable, especially for new runners looking to measure improvement and stay accountable. Running in Dallas’ beautiful Kiest Park added to the experience; the lush greenery and peaceful environment made the run less about speed and more about enjoying the moment. For those starting out, focusing on consistent effort rather than pace can be more rewarding and sustainable. Overall, activating your running chakra is about more than physical movement—it's about developing a mindful running practice that promotes fitness, mental clarity, and personal growth. I encourage everyone to embrace their own pace, track their runs, and enjoy the journey toward improved stamina and wellness.
