Zorro is the sweetest boy in the world.
His dad (my boyfriend) would beg to differ but I love this dog more than anything I’ve loved before.
Zorro is a rescue, I rescued him from the shelter. His foster pawrents paid his adoption fee because if not, I think they didnt have the best intentions for him finding his furever home.
Luckily I’ve been able to get in touch with his fosters, and they are lovely people! Such kind hearted souls. I couldnt thank them enough for the price they paid to assure he would go to a good home.
Zorro’s background:
🖤| Zorro is 10 years old and spent at least 9 years with his owner. His owner was older in age and unfortunately was placed into a nursing home. Unfortunately for Zorro this meant they had to split and no nearby family could take him in. He spent a year at the shelter and that must’ve been the most confusing year of his life. Being adopted, returned in a week, adopted again, and this cycle repeats for a year. Thankfully at some point he was fostered and shown genuine love again because at this point I’m sure he had no clue what the rest of his life held for him.
🖤| Feb.2024 I moved into my own place, Ive never known a home without paw prints, dog hair, and treats. By March.2024 I knew my home was empty, and the only thing that would fill my heart was getting a dog. Im an animal lover but dogs are a different kind of love. We talked about a puppy but at that point in time I was working 12-14 hour days 5 days a week, I barely had time for me let alone a puppy. There was a lot that I thought about, and almost talked myself out of. The discussion happened for weeks but we knew if we ever got a puppy we wanted a black lab, male, and name him Zorro.
🖤| March.26.2024 We went to the shelter to look. We didnt know what we were looking for or why we were actually gonna go look, but even if I spent a little time getting to know some dogs, I felt my craving would be cured. Until we stumbled upon this guy. Male, Black Lab, Zorro. Checked everything off the list. Then I read “Adoption fee has been paid” and reading those words made me know we were all there, at the right place, at the right time. I didn’t hesitate for a second, I knew he was mine and we were there to rescue each other.
