just living & romanticising life ✨

grateful for this calm, in-between chapter 😌 lots of rest, comfort shows, job searching, and time with my family and friends. it was a well-needed reset before starting my next chapter 🇳🇿

#funemployment

... Read moreTaking time for oneself during a transitional phase, often referred to here as "funemployment," can be a profoundly enriching experience. Beyond just a pause from traditional employment, it's an opportunity to realign priorities and focus on personal well-being. During this period, I found solace in simple yet meaningful activities—facing driving anxiety, which many can relate to as a barrier to independence and confidence, became a goal I consciously worked towards. The process wasn’t easy, but small wins like this significantly boosted my self-esteem. Cooking more at home helped me reconnect with nourishing my body and soul, shifting away from convenience to mindful nourishment. Starting a tiny indoor garden, even if only a resilient cactus survived, was symbolic of nurturing growth in unfamiliar territory, showing how patience and care are essential no matter the outcome. Physical fitness took a front seat as I became a weekly runner—something I never thought possible before. Maintaining this routine instilled discipline and improved my mental clarity. Social connections remained important; being a bridesmaid for a longtime friend's wedding reinforced the value of deep relationships during times of change. These supportive ties provide emotional grounding and joyful celebrations amidst uncertainty. Most notably, applying for over 100 jobs in three months required humility and resilience, a process many face when searching for new opportunities. Keeping motivated during lengthy waits for responses from companies like Randstad and Jobstreet is challenging yet essential. Embracing the uncertainty with grace and patience transforms the job hunt from a stressor into a journey of growth. This chapter of rest, self-care, and perseverance has prepared me for the next exciting phase in New Zealand. For those navigating similar in-between times, embracing the calm can be a powerful foundation for your next adventure.

Still a Rider at Heart, Just Living Softer Now🏍️🚘😉
Riding is life. There was a season of my life where all I knew was speed, night rides, loud engines, and disappearing into empty roads just to clear my mind. Back then, the bike carried versions of me that were still healing. Then life changed. And so did I. Somewhere along the journey,

am i even worth living?
day by day i dont find myself worth living. im just here, breathing. nothing is happening in my life. if i were in a room, no one would ever choose me. if i were to die, no one would be sitting in my grave everyday just to talk to me. but i would choose my friends that i truly care about in a room

Monthly expenses of a 30yo living in Singapore with adult money ✨
I've been recording my expenses since I started working and damn is lifestyle creep/inflation real. Back then when I started working, my monthly expenses were averaging no more than $2k. After 6 years, it has more than doubled. Is this monthly expenses normal for a 30yo in Singapore?
