The book is like a friend who understands working-age people facing "Burnout Syndrome." The story follows the life of a 36-year-old woman who quit her regular job for years because of a breakdown of body and mind. She set the condition for finding a new job to be "close to home, keep her mind to a minimum, and don't have to interact with anyone." She went through five odd jobs (CCTV monitor, bus advertising, candy bag work, poster paste work, and cottage work) that seemed superficially easy and boring, right? No matter how ridiculous or easy the job seems, she always gets herself involved in it and discovers some hidden complexity.

The slow, gradual rhythm of storytelling has funny humor and really satirizes the work system, which for us, we think is a little too crazy, may not be in for a fire-depleting person like us. 🥹
Writers convey a sense of emptiness, confusion, and effort will assemble a body, recreating the identity of someone who is broken from working brilliantly.
It doesn't teach us to fight back, it teaches us to look at work realistically and allow ourselves to rest.

No matter how ordinary or boring the task may seem, when practical, every task always has hidden individual pressures and problems.
In the face of Burnout, resignation is something that can be done (if we don't have a debt burden 🥹) or lower expectations to heal ourselves is something that needs to be done.
Work is not all of life. Working just to make money to save one day without love or being in love with it is not wrong.

หลังจากได้อ่านเรื่องราวในหนังสือ "บนโลกใบนี้ไม่มีงานง่าย" ทำให้ผมนึกถึงความจริงของสภาพแวดล้อมการทำงานยุคนี้ ที่หลายคนต่างก็หางานที่เหมาะสมกับชีวิตและสุขภาพจิตของตัวเองจริงๆ ผู้หญิงวัย 36 ปีในเรื่องได้ตั้งเงื่อนไขว่าต้องการงานใกล้บ้าน ใช้สมองน้อยที่สุด และไม่ต้องพูดคุยกับใครมาก ซึ่งหลายคนอาจมองว่าเป็นความฝันที่แทบเป็นไปไม่ได้ แต่ในความเป็นจริงแล้ว งานที่ดูเหมือนไม่ยุ่งยากอย่างการดูจอมอนิเตอร์กล้องวงจรปิด หรือแปะโปสเตอร์ ก็ยังมีความซับซ้อนและความกดดันเฉพาะตัวซ่อนอยู่เสมอ จากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัว ผมเคยลองเปลี่ยนงานหลายครั้งเพื่อหลีกหนีความเครียดและภาระหน้าที่หนักหน่วง สิ่งที่ได้เรียนรู้ก็คือ ไม่มีงานใดที่จะเรียกว่า "ง่าย" สิ่งสำคัญคือการยอมรับว่าการทำงานต้องเผชิญกับปัญหาและความท้าทายในแบบของมันเอง การตั้งเงื่อนไขการหางานขึ้นมาใหม่ก็เป็นวิธีที่ดีในการฟื้นฟูตัวเองหลังจากหมดไฟหรือรู้สึกเหนื่อยล้า การเลือกงานที่เหมาะกับความต้องการของตัวเอง เช่น งานใกล้บ้าน ลดการใช้ความคิดมาก และลดการปฏิสัมพันธ์ที่กดดัน เป็นแนวทางที่ช่วยให้รักษาสุขภาพจิตและเสถียรภาพในชีวิต นอกจากนั้น หนังสือยังสอนให้เราปลงและยอมรับว่าการทำงานไม่ได้ต้องรักงานเสมอไป บางครั้งการทำงานเพียงเพื่อเลี้ยงชีวิตและพักผ่อนฟื้นฟูตัวเองก็เป็นเรื่องที่ยอมรับได้ ไม่จำเป็นต้องฝืนตัวเองจนพัง สรุปคือหนังสือเล่มนี้ไม่เพียงแค่รีวิวหรือแนะนำหางานง่ายๆ แต่ยังสะท้อนแง่มุมชีวิตจริงของวัยทำงานที่เผชิญภาวะหมดไฟและความพยายามที่จะหาทางออกอย่างมีสติและเข้าใจตัวเองมากขึ้น
