Have you ever felt it?..That while you're walking on the road of a life that seems to be normal, but deep down inside, there's a strange "heavy" feeling? 📦
.
It's like you're carrying an invisible "big wooden box" on your shoulders, a box packed with whispers from the past, reproaches you've received, and other people's expectations that you've accidentally collected since you can't remember.
.
"Many people spend their entire lives keeping the box from falling, never questioning it...Who are we carrying it for? "
.
📍 Explore the Cracks: When the "Self" Disappears in Other People's Hope
.
When we were children, this box was still empty and giddy, but as we began to grow, society and its peers began to throw down the "duty" to us, and it became a knot.# Unlock stranded livesDifficult:
📌 Voice 1: "Being an elder must be sacrificed" (until we forget to keep our rights)
📌 Voice 2: "Must study doctors / police / civil servants to be grateful" (until we forget the real dream)
📌 Voice 3: "Be strong, do not show weakness" (until we become depressed)
We start "Unboxed," or unboxed the needs of others, so that one day we look in the mirror and find no real identity left, we become the only product of the satisfaction of the world.
🔓 Why don't we dare "put" this box down?
The saddest reason is "We are afraid of not being loved." We are afraid that if we put down this box of expectations, if we stop being good the way others want to be, we will become worthless and be left behind alone.
.
< u > The most important fact: < / u > The longer you carry it, the more "little children" inside you are suffocated, and that is the cause of unnamed suffering in adulthood.
🌱 First step of unlocking (Checklist)
Before we move on, I want you to take a break and do a short checklist with yourself:
[] I always say, "It's okay," both in my heart wanting to say no.
[] I feel guilty every time I indulge myself.
[] I worry about what other people think of me. More than my own happiness.
[] I can't remember now what "a hobby that really does for itself" was.
[End of Chapter 1 Exercises]
