States I’ve Been

My recent travels have really ignited a passion for exploring, and after visiting five states, Nevada has truly captured my heart as my absolute favorite! Its unique landscapes, vibrant cities, and hidden natural wonders have left a lasting impression. It made me start thinking, what amazing places are right next door? Naturally, my curiosity led me to look at a map and discover the fantastic states that share a border with Nevada. It's so cool to realize that Nevada is surrounded by some truly diverse and beautiful places! For anyone else wondering, the states that are next to Nevada are California, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, and Idaho. Each one offers something special, and it’s exciting to think about all the road trips you could plan just by staying in this region. What's even more exciting is realizing that two of the states I've already had the pleasure of visiting, California and Arizona, are direct neighbors to my beloved Nevada! Exploring California's diverse scenery, from its stunning coastlines to its majestic national parks, often felt like a natural extension of my Nevada adventures. And Arizona, with its breathtaking Grand Canyon and unique desert beauty, was an unforgettable experience. It just goes to show how much incredible scenery is packed into this part of the US. I vividly remember driving through some of these stretches, seeing the landscape shift and change, from the arid beauty of Nevada to the vibrant hues of Arizona's deserts or the towering redwoods of California. Looking at the other bordering states, Utah immediately comes to mind for its incredible national parks like Zion and Bryce Canyon. Imagine extending a trip from Las Vegas to explore those dramatic red rock formations – it’s definitely on my list! And then there’s Oregon, which I've been dreaming of visiting next, as mentioned on my 'States I've Been To' map. Its lush forests, rugged coastline, and unique vibe are a stark contrast to Nevada's arid beauty, and it's thrilling to know it shares a small border, making it a perfectly attainable future adventure. Finally, Idaho, known for its stunning mountains and pristine rivers, also touches Nevada's northern border. While I haven't explored Idaho yet, knowing it's so close just adds another layer to the potential future travel plans. It really highlights how much variety you can find in just one corner of the country. Thinking about the differences and similarities between these states, from the bustling cities and deserts of California and Arizona to the natural wonders of Utah and the green landscapes of Oregon and Idaho, makes me even more eager to continue my travels and see more of these incredible places firsthand. It’s all about finding those hidden gems and experiencing the unique character of each spot!
