It is a herbaceous plant, with no chlorophyll, no leaves, up to 10-35 centimeters tall, parts light brown or reddish brown, often with dark streaks.

The flowers are single out, the calyx is 2.5-3 centimeters long, the apex is pointed, the flowers are 2-4 centimeters long, the corolla tube is white, light purple or dark purple, the corolla plate is 2-3 millimeters in diameter, slightly blooming, the corolla margin is smooth, inside the corolla tube the same color as the outside or darker, the male pollen is attached at about the point where the corolla tube is bent, the pollen peduncle is smooth, the sprig is 1-1.5 centimeters long, the cone effect is about 2.5 centimeters long.

The tree is eaten with chili sauce. The whole tree juices to a purple and black color, used to make snacks or mix sticky rice into ruddy rice or ground mixed with flour to make snacks. Herbally, expel poison, anti-inflammatory, heal mouth ulcers.
