September 20 of each year is the National Ku Klong River Conservation and Development Day. Since September 20, 1994, His Majesty the King, the Royal Highness of Siam Ratchakumari, has passed the Ku Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun Khun on September 18, 2011, and has decided that September 20 of each year is the National Preservation and Development Day of Khun Khun Khun Khun.
Rivers, ditches and canals play an important ecological role in the conservation of forest, natural and wildlife resources that depend on water for subsistence. They are also useful for the development of the national economy in drainage, flood prevention, agriculture and transportation. In addition, these bodies of water form areas that shape the culture and traditions of riparian communities such as boat races, loi cockles and water markets as cultural heritage worth preserving.
The National Ku Canal River Conservation and Development Day is a good mark to take everyone involved in maintaining the water resources that are an essential element of the Thai way of life. It starts by not dumping waste into canals, not trespassing, destroying upstream areas to preserve water resources, and engaging in environmental restoration activities such as the Ku Canal, etc., so that the Ku Canal River remains with the Thai people in a sustainable way.
