Snorkel Collecting Wrecks of Nets Rejuvenating Coral Reefs

On February 18, 2026, the Similan Islands National Park, Phang Nga Province, in conjunction with the Chulutra Undersea Park Conservation Center, led officers on an underwater mission at the "orchid boat" dive site, Payou Island (Island Seven), to manage the threat and oversee the integrity of the marine ecosystem, where this mission can recover about 50 kilograms of net debris from the sea.

The problem of marine waste, especially fishing tools and plastics, is a serious threat that directly affects undersea biodiversity. It not only destroys the beauty of tourist attractions, but also causes damage to coral reefs and endangers the lives of rare marine animals. The collaboration is requested for all tourists and entrepreneurs to recognize the importance of managing waste in the right way by abstaining from dumping waste into bodies of water and sorting waste before dumping every time. To reduce the amount of waste that will escape into the sea, to preserve the abundance of marine natural resources.
