How many of your daughters going to college?

How did or does she like it so far?

My baby is nervous but excited

5/1 Edited to

... Read moreSending your daughter to college is a milestone filled with mixed emotions. From personal experience, I've seen many parents and daughters navigate this journey with a blend of excitement and anxiety. The initial nervousness is normal—new environments, making friends, and academic challenges all contribute to that feeling. Choosing the right university plays a big role in easing this transition; for instance, St. Mary’s University is known for its supportive community and welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular choice for many. My daughter was anxious but thrilled before starting college, especially about living independently and exploring new opportunities. To help, we focused on open communication, discussing her fears and hopes. Encouraging her to join orientation events and student groups helped her build friendships quickly. It's also essential to prepare practically by helping her manage finances, plan her schedule, and understand campus resources. Every daughter’s college experience is unique, but embracing both nervousness and excitement is part of the growth process. Supporting your daughter emotionally while encouraging independence helps her thrive in this new chapter. Remember, this time fosters resilience, confidence, and lifelong learning, making the entire experience incredibly rewarding for both of you.
