Every dry bones in our lives come back to life
Have you ever felt like parts of your life were just… dry bones? Like certain dreams, relationships, or even your own spirit had withered away, leaving behind only a desolate valley of hopelessness? I know that feeling all too well. For a long time, I struggled with a sense of stagnation, wondering if things would ever truly come alive again. Then, I truly dug into the powerful scripture of EZEKIEL 37. It’s more than just an ancient story; it’s a profound message of revival and restoration that speaks directly to our modern struggles. The prophet Ezekiel was led to a valley filled with countless DRY BONES, scattered and very dry. God asked him, "Son of man, can these bones live?" And Ezekiel, wisely, replied, "Sovereign Lord, you alone know." This passage isn't just about a historical event for the nation of Israel, symbolizing their spiritual and national revival after exile. It's a vivid picture of God's power to breathe life into the seemingly deadest situations. For me, it became a personal revelation. I realized those "dry bones" in my own life – a stalled career, a broken friendship, or even just a lack of passion – weren't beyond hope. God wasn't asking me if they could live; He was asking if I believed He could make them live. The key takeaway for me was realizing the role of prophecy and the breath of God. Ezekiel was commanded to prophesy to the bones, to speak life over them. And as he spoke, bones came together, tendons and flesh appeared, and skin covered them. But they were still lifeless until God commanded Ezekiel to prophesy to the breath, and the breath entered them, and they came alive and stood up as a vast army. What does this mean for us today? It means that even when we feel utterly depleted, when our hopes are shattered, or when a situation seems irreversible, God’s power can intervene. It taught me to speak life over my circumstances, to pray with faith, and to trust that His Spirit can transform any "valley of dry bones" into a vibrant, living reality. It's about letting go of our own limited understanding and embracing the infinite possibilities of divine intervention. I started praying specifically for those "dry bones" in my life, asking God to breathe His Spirit into them. It wasn't an overnight change, but gradually, I saw shifts. Opportunities arose, broken bridges began to mend, and most importantly, my own spirit, which had felt so parched, began to feel refreshed and hopeful again. So if you're facing a situation that feels like a valley of DRY BONES, take heart from EZEKIEL 37. Believe that God can and wants to bring life and restoration. Speak His truth, pray His will, and watch as He makes the impossible COME ALIVE in your life.
