Just a mom trying to get fit thick ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Starting with just 2-3 pull-ups was definitely challenging, but committing to gradual progress changed everything for me. Pull-ups are a fantastic compound exercise that engage multiple upper body muscles, including the back, shoulders, and arms. To improve my maximum reps, I added shrugs to my routine, which helped strengthen my traps and support muscle endurance during pull-ups. One thing I've found helpful is to focus on controlled movements and proper form rather than rushing reps. Consistent practice, with incremental increases in volume and intensity, gradually builds muscle and strength without causing injury. Alongside pull-ups and shrugs, incorporating complementary exercises like assisted pull-ups, negative pull-ups, and grip strengthening can accelerate progress. Nutrition and recovery also play key roles; eating enough protein and getting sufficient rest between workouts ensures muscle repair and growth. As a mom balancing fitness with daily life, setting realistic goals and celebrating small wins keep me motivated. If you're aiming to get fit thick through bodyweight exercises, remember to listen to your body, be patient, and enjoy the process. Tracking your progress with photos or journaling your workout stats can also provide encouraging reminders of how far youโve come.
