My Southern Pound Cake
Ingredients:
Preheat oven 325 degrees and grease Bundt pan with butter and flour or spray with baking spray at this time.
3 cups of sifted cake flour (all purpose)
2 and a half cups of sugar
one half teaspoon of salt
3 teaspoons of baking powder
3 sticks of unsalted butter (room temperature)
5 eggs (room temperature)
1 teaspoon of vanilla flavor
1 teaspoon of lemon flavor
three fourths cups of milk (room temperature)
Cooking Directions:
Combine all dry ingredients in separate bowl. In mixing bowl add all wet ingredients.
Add dry mixed ingredients to wet in ingredients in mixing bowl and blend for 15 minutes on medium speed with mixer.
Pour batter into pan and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Check doneness by putting a tester in center of cake. Tester should come out completely clean. Please keep oven closed the entire baking time.
Remove from oven and let stand in pan for 15 minutes. After that, turn out onto cake plate.

Glaze:
1 cup of confectionary sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavoring, and 2 tablespoons of milk. Add a few more drops of milk if needed. Drizzle over warm cake.
