Caramel Pound Cake
This caramel pound cake??? Yeah… it’s one of those desserts 🤤
Moist, rich, and covered in a homemade caramel sauce that melts right into every bite. The kind of cake you think about hours later.
I kept it classic but made sure the flavor showed up loud; no shortcuts, just real caramel and a buttery pound cake base.
Perfect for Sunday dinners, holidays, or when you just want something that feels like comfort.
🍰 Recipe
Pound Cake:
* 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
* 2 ½ cups sugar
* 5 large eggs
* 3 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 cup heavy cream
* 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Cream butter & sugar until light and fluffy
2. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well
3. Alternate flour and heavy cream
4. Add vanilla
5. Pour into greased bundt pan
6. Bake at 325°F for 1 hr 15–25 mins
7. Let cool before adding caramel
Homemade Caramel:
* 1 cup sugar
* 6 tbsp butter
* ½ cup heavy cream
* pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Melt sugar over medium heat until amber
2. Add butter and stir
3. Slowly pour in heavy cream (it will bubble)
4. Stir until smooth, add salt
5. Let cool slightly, then pour over cake
I like mine slightly warm so the caramel melts all the way through, with the edges just a little crisp 😮🔥
And I’m not gonna lie… I’ll eat a slice for breakfast with coffee like it’s completely normal.
How do y’all eat y’all pound cake; warm or room temp?
