Classic Vanilla Pound Cake

Golden, rich, and made with love — this pound cake is everything. Fluffy inside with that perfect crisp edge. A little vanilla, a little almond, and a whole lot of buttery goodness. This one’s a keeper.

Ingredients:

• 3 sticks salted butter (1 1/2 cups), softened

• 3 cups granulated sugar (600g)

• 6 large eggs, room temperature

• 3 cups all-purpose flour (360g)

• 1/4 teaspoon salt

• 2 tablespoons vanilla extract

• 1 tablespoon almond extract (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).

2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter until light and fluffy.

3. Gradually add the sugar and mix until well combined and airy.

4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition and scraping the sides of the bowl often.

5. Add the flour one cup at a time, continuing to scrape the sides and mix gently.

6. Mix in the vanilla extract, almond extract, and salt until fully incorporated.

7. Generously coat a Bundt pan with Baker’s Joy or a butter-flour mixture.

8. Pour in the batter evenly. Wrap a cool, damp towel around the outside base of the Bundt pan to help ensure an even bake.

9. Bake for 90 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

10. Let cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to finish cooling.
