Working always

It’s getting late and I’ve been working all day, sorting through what I want in my store. It’s been I think 10 hours and I can’t even feel my eyes anymore, lol. I think I’m going to call it a night but thanks for all the love and prayers, you guys are so kind and I’m just shocked everytime I open this app with all the messages of support and uplifting words 🤍🕊️

... Read moreWorking long hours, especially in a hands-on business like an antique store, can be both rewarding and exhausting. I've found that taking care of my brain health is just as important as sorting through inventory and managing daily tasks. After a 10-hour workday, I often feel completely drained—sometimes to the point where I can't even feel my eyes anymore. To combat this, I make sure to take short breaks and practice mindfulness throughout the day. It’s incredible how the support from my online community uplifts me during these taxing periods. Messages full of encouragement and prayers remind me that I’m not alone in this journey, which is essential for mental wellness. Running a business requires grit, but also balance—allowing yourself time to rest can prevent burnout and boost long-term productivity. If you’re a business owner struggling with long work hours, consider setting boundaries for workday length, incorporating brain health habits like hydration and short mental breaks, and engaging with supportive communities. These small yet impactful steps can make the grind more manageable and meaningful.
