GhostTape launched an app for macOS specifically designed to solve the problem of "forget to press" with a Background Recording automatic recording system that keeps every moment of music or recording at all times, allowing you to go back and recover ideas that you just played even without pressing Record.

GhostTape uses the Circular Buffer system to record audio into memory (RAM) instead of writing files to an SSD at all times. It reduces storage and does not increase the burden on the machine. Users can set the recording period back from one minute to one hour before recording the actual file when they find the idea they want to store.

The app supports recording from multiple audio sources, whether it's the Audio Interface, local microphone, system audio, or select certain app-specific records, with a separate buffer period set freely for each audio source.

Another interesting feature is Haunt, which handles automatic recording when a new audio device is connected or disconnected, allowing continuous operation without starting a new recording backwards every time.
