Dry/ frizzy hair recs from someone who’s constantly trying new ones but …

6/25 Edited to

... Read moreDealing with dry and frizzy hair can be challenging, especially when you have thick curls that tend to lose moisture quickly. From my personal experience experimenting with numerous hair care products, I’ve found it crucial to maintain a consistent routine centered around nourishing and hydrating ingredients. The key is to strike a balance between moisture retention and frizz control without weighing down your hair. One of the biggest game changers for me has been using leave-in conditioners and serums that provide long-lasting moisture without buildup. Products containing natural oils like argan, jojoba, and coconut oil deeply penetrate the hair shaft, sealing in hydration and preventing dryness throughout the day. Additionally, incorporating a sulfate-free shampoo helps retain your hair’s natural oils instead of stripping them away. I also emphasize the importance of using a wide-tooth comb or your fingers to detangle, which minimizes breakage and keeps curls intact. Avoiding heat styling tools or using a heat protectant spray has made a significant difference in reducing frizz caused by damage. For those with thick hair, layering lightweight products such as sprays and creams can provide flexibility and definition without stiffness. It's best to apply styling products when hair is damp to lock in moisture effectively. Overall, the eight products I consistently return to have transformed my dry, frizzy hair into manageable, vibrant curls. They are comprehensive solutions that address dryness, frizz, and hair health holistically—perfect if you’re looking to simplify your hair care routine while maximizing results.
