But waking up still feeling "overwhelmed," not stressed?

Let's get to know the Completing the Stress Cycle theory.

Have you ever been tired from work all week?

So Saturday, Sunday, I meant to "sleep stupid" in bed.

Why does the body still feel aches?

The problem is that we are confused between the words

"Cause of Stress" (Stressor) vs.

"Stress reaction in the body" (Stress)

Imagine that our bodies are "dykes."

When there's a job problem or pressure,

The body pumps hormones (Cortisol & Adrenaline).

To prepare the energy for us to "run away from the tiger" (as recounted in EP.1), the water in the dam rises!

But in real life, we don't run away from tigers.

We're just sitting in front of the computer screen.

So much energy is not used.

It's stuck in our bodies.

We came home to "sit and rest or lie still."

It is true to stop adding water to the dam...

But it doesn't "drain the old water"!

Solution: We have to open the floodgates.

(Completing the Stress Cycle)

We have to send a "physical" signal to the brain that

"We escaped the tiger. It's safe."

To turn off the alarm switch:

1. Physical Activity: It's the best way! Walk fast, run, jump, shake your limbs, or dance to your favorite song in the room. Just 20 minutes.

2. Big Cry: Don't hold back. Let the tears cleanse the tension.

3. Belly Laugh: Watch funny clips. Talk to friends. Laugh until the lungs expand.

(No need to do all 3 items, depending on which feed it is)
