Be brave to open new doors
After finishing The Forgotten Book Club, I found myself thinking about a simple question:
When was the last time I said yes to something new?
Not because I had to.
Not because it was part of some grand plan.
But simply because I was curious to see where it might lead.
The older we get, the easier it becomes to stay inside the life we’ve already built. We find our routines. Our familiar places. Our comfortable circles.
There’s nothing wrong with that.
But sometimes comfort can quietly become a cage.
How many opportunities do we miss because we’ve convinced ourselves we’re too busy, too old, too settled, or too late?
The truth is, some of the most meaningful chapters of our lives begin with the things we almost didn’t do.
A conversation we almost avoided.
An invitation we almost declined.
A group we almost didn’t join.
A door we almost didn’t open.
This book reminded me that starting over doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it’s simply being willing to make room for something unexpected.
And often, those unexpected moments become the ones we’re most grateful for.
A heartwarming read about friendship, community, second chances, and discovering that life still has new stories waiting for us, no matter what chapter we’re in.
