Anxiety relief tips and tricks 🌬️

Here are some simple anxiety relief activities that you can start implementing in your routine today and that have helped me tremendously. 💙

1.Tidy up- cluttered room equals cluttered mind. Cleaning, organizing and tidying up can help you be 1000% more productive and motivated.

2. Don’t skip meals- especially breakfast! Fuel your body with whole and nutritious foods. A balanced diet can have a positive impact on overall mental health.

3. Journal/ brain dump- I call it taking out the trash every morning- write down every negative thought or thoughts that don’t serve you and leave it behind so you start your day with with a clean fresh slate. Remember, anxiety usually stems from thinking in the past or future, so eliminate those thoughts as much as you can before they creep up on you throughout the day!

4. Take time to disconnect- being constantly behind a screen can take its toll on our mental well-being and can increase anxiety. Remember to take screen breaks multiple times a day. Maybe on your lunch break instead of watching TV or scrolling on your phone, take a walk outside!

5. Go to bed early and have a consistent sleep routine! Need I say more?

6. Be consistent with routines- your body and mind respond well with routines- especially once you’ve found the sweet spot of one that works! Of course everyday can look a little different but stick to that morning walk or after work gym sesh- don’t skip it! Your body and mind will thank you later.

7. Furry cuddles + snuggles- animals always boost my boost and are the treasured reminders of living in the present. They’re only focused on the now- as should you!
