Fight in the storm
Fightin in the storm, I got my kills though. #apex #apexlegends #apexlegendscommunity #apexlegendsclips
Hey, fellow Legends! Storm Point is easily one of the most dynamic and challenging maps in Apex, and if you don't know your way around, it can definitely feel like you're fighting in a storm. I’ve spent countless hours dropping here, and I’m excited to share my personal insights and a breakdown of its layout to help you secure those wins and rack up some impressive kills! What makes Storm Point so unique? It's its sheer size, verticality, and the dangerous native wildlife. Understanding the labeled layout is your first step to mastering this map. I always try to identify key routes and choke points between POIs when I’m planning my rotations. When I drop, I'm usually aiming for places like Command Center for the high-tier loot, or perhaps Barometer if I want a more central, but often heavily contested, start. Prowler Dens around North Pad or Mill are great for early EVO shield upgrades, but be ready for a fight – sometimes those Prowlers hit harder than you expect! Remember to holster weapons to run faster when rotating between these spots; every second counts on this map. Knowing where to find a good Shield Core early can make all the difference. This map has Gravity Cannons instead of redeploy balloons, which I absolutely love for quick, strategic rotations. Learning their trajectories is key to escaping the storm, pushing an enemy squad, or repositioning. I’ve found that carefully using them can put you in a prime position to spot enemies or surprise them from an unexpected angle. Always keep an eye on the ring too; you don't want to get caught out in the open on this massive map. In my experience, having a versatile loadout is crucial on Storm Point. A RAMPAGE can be a beast for controlling long sightlines, especially around areas like Lightning Rod or the open fields near Checkpoint. For closer engagements, don't underestimate a Wingman if you can hit your shots. Always prioritize upgrading your Shield Core and grabbing a Knockdown Shield – these are absolute lifesavers, especially in the more open areas. And speaking of lifesavers, make sure you're carrying plenty of SYRINGES and a Heat Shield for those intense late-game fights, particularly if you get caught outside the ring or need to revive a downed teammate under fire. Knowing when to pop a Heat Shield can turn an almost-lost fight into a victory. My personal strategy often involves landing somewhat off-center, looting quickly, and then rotating towards the action, using the terrain to my advantage. Don't be afraid to engage the wildlife if you need shield upgrades, but always be aware of potential third parties. Storm Point truly rewards players who understand its flow and use its unique features to their advantage. Good luck out there, Legends – go get those kills!
