I may be out of my bridal era, but I still get so many questions about these DIY custom wedding menus—and honestly, they deserve the spotlight one more time 💌✨

These menus were one of my favourite details from our big day. Each one was paired with a satin ribbon, tied into a bow with the guest’s name printed right on it. It was such a unique, personal touch that made every setting feel extra special. And the best part? They’re easy to DIY!

Here’s what I used:

🖥 Canva (to design the names)

✂️ Cricut machine

📝 Heat transfer vinyl

📄 Cardstock

🎀 Ribbon

✨Instructions✨

1. I typed out all of my guest names in Canva, using a font that matched our wedding vibe

2. Then I uploaded the file to Cricut Design Space and cut the names out using heat transfer vinyl

3. After weeding out each name, I cut and placed them at the ends of pre-cut ribbon strands

4. With a heat press (or an iron), I transferred the names onto the ribbon

5. I printed the menus on cardstock and punched a hole at the top of each one

6. Finally, I tied each personalized ribbon through the menu card to create the final look 🎀

It took hours (especially tying 100 bows 😅), but the result was even more beautiful than I imagined. Little details like this made the day feel that much more personal and magical.

🤵🏻👰🏻‍♀️

➡️ If you’re planning a wedding or just love a good dinner party DIY, definitely save this for inspo! 🤍

... Read moreCreating custom wedding menus is a fantastic way to bring a unique, memorable detail to your wedding or event. From my experience, using a Cricut machine paired with heat transfer vinyl allows for precise and elegant personalization. When selecting fonts in Canva, I found choosing one that matched the wedding theme really helped unify the look. Beyond the creative satisfaction, these menus serve as keepsakes for your guests. Consider experimenting with different ribbon colors to complement your wedding palette and perhaps even adding small embellishments like beads or charms to the bows. While DIY projects can be time-consuming—tying 100 bows was quite a challenge!—the result is truly worth the effort. If you’re worried about the time, start crafting early or enlist help from friends or family. I also recommend doing a test run with a few menus before tackling the full batch to ensure everything transfers perfectly. This customizable approach isn’t just limited to weddings; it’s perfect for any special dinner party or celebration where you want to impress your guests with thoughtful, handcrafted details. The keywords from the visual instructions, like 'heat transfer vinyl,' 'ribbon color,' and 'custom ribbon,' are crucial to achieving the best results and truly personalizing your menus.
