The right people won’t make u feel like a burden.

Have u ever worried that u might be holding other people back?

I do. 😅

Today’s hike reminded me of that again.

TBH, hiking with someone much fitter than me can feel a little stressful.

I always worry that I’m too slow and might hold people up.

But throughout the hike, she never rushed me.

Never compared.

Never pushed.

She simply reminded me to go at my own pace.

And that got me thinking…

Sometimes the difference isn’t the journey.

It’s who we walk the journey with.

The right people don’t make u feel inadequate.

They encourage u to keep going.

At ur own pace.

After the hike, we suddenly realised that this time last year, we were in Bangkok 😄

A year later, I’m thankful we’re still creating memories together.

And honestly, she reminded me of my coach and mentor too.

Whether it’s hiking, life, or the digital business I’m building, I’ve come to appreciate people who encourage rather than pressure.

People who remind u that progress is still progress, even when it’s slower than someone else’s.

Thankful for today’s hike.

Thankful for friendships that have stood the test of time.

And thankful to God for placing the right people in my life at the right time.

And if u’ve been putting off something coz u think u’re too slow, u cannot, maybe it’s time to take that first step anyway. 😊

... Read moreThrough my own experiences, I've realized how crucial it is to be surrounded by the right kind of people, especially during challenging times. Whether it’s a physical hike or the metaphorical hike of life and building something new like a digital business, having someone who encourages rather than pressures you truly makes all the difference. Often, I found myself hesitating to take on new challenges because I felt I might slow others down or not keep up. But with the right companions, the pace becomes personal, and success is about progress, not comparison. In fact, having friends or mentors who remind you to move at your own pace can boost not just your confidence but also your motivation. This supportive environment creates space to focus on your own growth without feeling inadequate. One thing I learned recently is that those who understand and accept your pace also help you enjoy the journey more. For example, during a recent hike, my friend was patient, never rushed or compared, simply reminding me gently to keep going at my own speed. This made the hike less stressful and more fulfilling. Moreover, friendships and mentorships that withstand the test of time provide not only encouragement but also perspective. They remind you that progress—no matter how slow—is meaningful and that setbacks do not define your worth or potential. If you’ve been holding back on something because you feel you’re not fast enough or good enough, take that first step anyway. The right people will celebrate your effort and uplift you. They don’t make you feel like a burden; they make the journey worthwhile.

Sometimes we are our own biggest critic and assume we're holding others back when the people who truly care about us don't see it that way at all. 😊

He sent me this message and made me cry.
He sent a message—and I cried. Not because it was poetic. But because it was kind, honest, and real. Sometimes love doesn’t come in grand declarations. Sometimes it comes as: “Thank you for your love.” 💚 Save this if you’re healing from a past that made love feel hard. And if you’re
