Battered By Hacks 💀
When the hacker thinks he’s Babe Ruth with it 🥴⚾️ #DBD #FYP #deadbydaylight #hacker #girlgamervibes
Oh my gosh, you guys! That feeling when you queue up for a relaxing game of Dead by Daylight, only to be met with someone blatantly cheating? It’s soul-crushing, right? My recent match, which inspired my original post, had me feeling like I was truly 'beat into next week' by this hacker who thought they were some kind of baseball legend, hitting every single play with zero effort. It wasn't fun, and it definitely wasn't fair. I’ve been playing DBD for a while now, and sadly, hacker encounters aren't as rare as we'd all wish. It’s one thing to have a really good killer or a super coordinated survivor team, but it’s a whole other ball game when someone is just breaking the rules. We’ve all seen them: the speed hackers zooming across the map at light speed, either as a killer downing everyone in seconds or a survivor instantly repairing every generator. Then there are the teleporting ones, suddenly appearing right behind you or zipping away after being hooked. It completely destroys the balance and the fun of the cat-and-mouse game that makes DBD so unique. One of the most frustrating types I've encountered are the ones with infinite perks or instant action hacks. Imagine trying to chase a survivor who instantly recovers from every hit, or a killer who can just spam their power without cooldown. It drains all the challenge and skill from the game. It’s not just annoying; it makes you question why you even bother investing time in a match when the outcome is predetermined by someone else's unfair advantage. The satisfaction of a well-played chase or a strategic escape is completely gone. So, what do you even do when you run into a hacker in DBD? It can feel pretty helpless, but there are steps we can take. First off, try not to engage with them in the end-game chat. It usually just feeds their ego or leads to more toxicity. The most crucial thing is to report them. Make sure you use the in-game reporting system at the end of the match. While it might not feel like it does much immediately, these reports do accumulate and help Behaviour Interactive identify repeat offenders. If you can, try to record some of the suspicious gameplay. This is super helpful! Even a short clip showing impossible actions can be strong evidence. You can then submit this to BHVR's support page. They have a section specifically for reporting cheaters, and attaching video evidence significantly increases the chances of action being taken. It's a small effort, but collectively, if more people do it, it makes a difference. Ultimately, encountering a hacker can really beat you into next week emotionally and make you want to log off. But try to remember that most players are legitimate and just want to have fun. Don't let a few bad apples ruin your entire gaming experience. Take a deep breath, report, and move on to the next trial. Hopefully, the next one will be hack-free and much more enjoyable! What are your worst hacker stories in DBD?
