... Read moreOkay, so you saw my initial post about my first One Music Fest, and let me tell you, it was an absolute blast! As an #atltransplant, I've been looking for those quintessential Atlanta experiences, and this festival definitely delivered. If you're thinking about going next year, or just curious about what it's like, let me spill all the tea. First off, the vibe is just unmatched. Picture this: incredible artists across multiple stages, delicious food trucks (I'm still dreaming about those loaded fries!), and a sea of people all united by their love for music. It’s truly an energetic and positive atmosphere. Whether you’re into R&B, Hip-Hop, or even some alternative sounds, there's a stage for everyone. I spent most of my time hopping between stages, discovering new artists, and singing along to old favorites. The OCR result "My First One Music Fest" really captured the excitement perfectly! For any first-timers, especially if you're new to Atlanta like me, here are a few things I learned: Hydration is KEY: You'll be spending a lot of time on your feet, dancing, and soaking up the sun. Bring a reusable water bottle; they usually have refilling stations. Trust me, you'll thank yourself later. Comfort over Fashion: While everyone looks amazing, seriously consider comfortable shoes. Those cute sandals might look good, but your feet will be screaming by the end of the day. Sneakers are your best friend! Plan Your Schedule (Loosely): There are so many amazing acts, it's impossible to see everyone. I recommend picking your absolute must-sees and then letting the rest of the day be spontaneous. Sometimes the best memories are made by just wandering and discovering a new favorite artist. Transportation: Getting to and from the festival can be a bit of an adventure. MARTA (Atlanta's public transit) is often a great option, or planning rideshares in advance. Parking can be hectic and expensive, so weigh your options. Food & Drinks: Don't be afraid to try the local vendors! Atlanta has a fantastic food scene, and many of those culinary delights make their way to the festival grounds. Just remember that food and drink prices can add up, so budget accordingly. Meeting Friends: Cell service can be spotty with so many people, so establish a meeting point with your friends early on. This will save you a lot of stress if you get separated. Experiencing "My First One Music Fest" was truly a highlight of my time as an #atltransplant. It’s more than just a concert; it’s a cultural event that showcases the vibrant spirit of Atlanta. If you love live music and good vibes, mark your calendars for next year. You won't regret it!
