anybody else getting tired of whoever is in change of community guidelines? i have literally reported someone being racist and they said it wasn't against guidelines but when I confront them, suddenly it's an issue? the girl in the picture is literally telling people they are ugly and disgusting and even told someone to starve in another comment, but apparently that's not against guidelines. but me calling her out is. I have tried to get ahold of customer service but they never respond. this app is really going down hill. Who on earth is in charge of the reports because they need to fired, hire someone else for the love of god!! Lemon8 workers, if you see this, please recheck all the stuff that has been reported by people and actually read it. #Lemon8 #bullyingawareness #someoneneedstohearthis #lemon8customerservice #customerservice
Community guidelines are essential for maintaining a safe and positive environment on social media platforms like Lemon8. However, enforcement can sometimes appear inconsistent, leading users to feel frustrated or ignored when reporting harmful behavior such as bullying, racist comments, or harassment. Lemon8's community guidelines prohibit hate speech, harassment, bullying, and other forms of harmful content, but the enforcement relies on both automated systems and human moderators. This sometimes results in delays or misunderstandings when reviewing reports. For instance, a comment telling someone they are "ugly and disgusting" or urging another to "starve" should generally violate guidelines against harassment and bullying, yet certain nuances in language or context might cause it to be overlooked. Users often report feeling that their complaints are dismissed unfairly, especially when their own responses to harmful behavior are flagged for guideline violations while the original offending content remains. This inconsistency undermines trust in the reporting system. Lemon8's customer service channels may also be hard to reach or slower to respond, further frustrating those seeking resolution. To improve the reporting process, users should document offensive comments carefully and provide clear evidence when submitting reports to help moderators assess context. It's also helpful to remain calm and avoid retaliatory remarks that could be flagged. Using designated hashtags for bullying awareness and customer support, such as #bullyingawareness and #lemon8customerservice, can sometimes increase visibility and encourage responses. Ultimately, vigilance from the community combined with improved moderation protocols is crucial for preserving a respectful and safe space. User feedback is vital for platforms like Lemon8 to adapt and better enforce guidelines against racism, harassment, and bullying, ensuring that users feel heard and protected.
