Black Americans Contributions to America

In celebrating Black History Month I wanted to write a short small paragraph about the two group of races that built America which is WFA ( foundational white americans ) thier contributions were laws, the constitution, the structure of how the usa was formed and FBA (foundational black americans) but I am going to focus on Black Americans because thier free labor help built the country which we call America. Black Americans built the white house and created 300- 400 inventions that everyone uses today even when it comes down to the GPS systems in our phones and computers. A lot of our civil rights and humans rights laws have been created because of Black Americans fighting injustices. Music : All popular music genres that we love were created by black Americans such as gospel, r&b , rock, pop. blues, techno, house music, jazz country, Hip hop, drill music,. Inventions: the iron boards, cell phone, heart surgery, the traffic light, mail box, brush for hair, home security, gas furnace, pads ( feminine hygiene products)black people created so many inventions that I cant list everything because I would be writing a book lol. American culture that everyone loves is basically has its roots from Black Americans. Food: soul food depending on what state is very different because each states has its own ethnic group within the race. Soul food from Louisiana is different from North and South Carolina. Louisiana soul food is a mixed of French, african, little Spanish and senegalese(the wolof people) mix because a lot of africans that were send to Louisiana were from the Mali and jollof empire. Soul food from the northern region has more of a Liberian ,congo , native influence (the gulla geehie people) that why thier food is a little different from soul food that is in the deep south., whole whiting with the head on, shrimp eoth string beans , BBQ the Charlton way.) The contributions when it comes to food and Cooking style all stems from Africans as the root with native and European as a contributor. This is why teachings the real American history is very important because earsing contributions from people is not only disrespectful but the truth will always come out because the ancestors will use people as vessel to spread truthful knowledge. Anyone that reading this ... if youre American its your responsibility to read your history and understand the foundation of this country....HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH.

... Read moreReflecting on the immense contributions of Black Americans provides a deeper understanding of how intertwined their legacy is within the fabric of the nation. Beyond the foundational labor that built key landmarks like the White House, Black Americans pioneered hundreds of inventions that shape daily life, including the traffic light, heart surgery techniques, and even components essential to modern technology like GPS systems. In addition, the cultural influence from music to cuisine is profound. Popular music genres such as gospel, jazz, R&B, blues, hip hop, and country owe their roots to Black American artists who transformed storytelling and emotion into sound that resonates worldwide. Soul food, often celebrated during Black History Month, reflects a rich tapestry of African, Native American, and European influences brought together through the experiences of different ethnic groups within the Black community. The culinary diversity between regions—from Louisiana’s French-African fusion to the Liberian and Congolese flavor notes in the Carolinas—illustrates a living history of migration, adaptation, and resilience. Furthermore, Black Americans’ enduring fight for civil rights shaped laws promoting equality and freedom, embodying the principle ‘Civil Rights Plus Full Employment Equals Freedom.’ This slogan, which can be seen in historical movements, emphasizes that securing fundamental rights and economic opportunity is crucial to true freedom. Engaging with this history enriches our appreciation for the nation’s diverse roots. It reminds us that understanding and honoring these contributions is not just about respect for the past but a responsibility for every American to seek truth about the foundation of their country. This awareness empowers us to celebrate Black History Month not only as a remembrance but as an ongoing journey towards justice, innovation, and cultural pride.
