a man will always show you what he wants. even if he doesn’t say it, it’s in his actions. this is something i’m still in the process of learning, but it’s a big thing that needs to be talked about.
to the girls that are fighting with their all to save something that shouldn’t be saved: i hear you. i know what that’s like. you deserve better. don’t settle for less than you deserve. don’t stop until you find a guy that’s an all around green flag. you shouldn’t have to tell the right guy how to love you, and you certainly shouldn’t have to tell any guy what you want multiple times.

... Read moreI hear so many of us say, 'men are confusing!' And trust me, I've been there. I used to spend countless hours with my girlfriends dissecting every text, every glance, every missed call, trying to decipher what 'he really means.' It felt like I was constantly trying to solve a complex puzzle, and honestly, it was exhausting. I’d replay conversations in my head, searching for hidden clues, only to end up more confused than when I started. It felt like I was living in a constant state of uncertainty, always wondering if I was misreading the signs or if he was just playing games.
But slowly, through a lot of trial and error (and a few heartbreaks!), I started to realize something profound: what we often perceive as 'confusion' is actually just a lack of clarity in *their actions*. As the article mentions, men will always show you what they want, even if they don't explicitly say it. Their actions are the loudest megaphone they possess. We just need to tune in and listen to that instead of getting lost in their words or our own interpretations. If a man wants to be with you, he will make time for you. He will pursue you. He will be consistent. He will show up. It’s really that simple.
Think about it: how many times have you made excuses for someone's inconsistent behavior? 'Oh, he’s just busy.' 'He’s bad at texting.' 'He has a lot on his plate.' While some of that might be true, genuine interest and effort will always find a way to cut through. If he's truly interested, he won't leave you guessing for long. He won't make you feel like an option. He won't make you question your worth. He'll show you through his actions that you are a priority.
Learning this truth has been incredibly empowering. It shifted my focus from trying to 'fix' or 'understand' someone who wasn't showing up, to focusing on my own well-being and recognizing my inherent value. It meant I stopped fighting to save relationships that were clearly not meant to be, where I was putting in all the emotional labor. Instead of getting caught up in the drama, I started to observe. Is he consistent? Does he follow through? Does he make me feel good about myself? Does he actively contribute to my peace, or my chaos?
It's about setting boundaries and recognizing that you deserve someone who loves you openly and consistently, without you having to spell it out. This self-respect really comes from within. For me, taking time for myself – whether it’s getting ready for the day, choosing a comfy patterned top and dark leggings, or just taking a moment to reflect while looking in the mirror – helps me connect with my inner strength. It reminds me that just like I choose what feels good and expressive for myself, I also get to choose who I allow into my life and what kind of energy I accept.
So, if you’re feeling like 'men are confusing,' take a step back. Instead of trying to read between the lines, read the lines themselves – the lines of their actions. Are they showing up for you consistently? Are they investing in the connection? Are their words backed by their deeds? You shouldn't have to explain to the right guy how to love you. He'll instinctively know, and more importantly, he'll show you. Don't settle for anything less than a clear, undeniable 'green flag' guy who makes you feel cherished and secure. Trust me, it makes all the difference.
