One thing I like about this app is I’m reminding myself of all the things that truly bring me joy. Not just what’s trendy.
Here’s a reminder to be true to yourself and stop being a people pleaser!!!
There’s nothing sexier than a woman that is authentic.

We scroll through feeds, see what everyone else is doing, and sometimes, without even realizing it, we start to mold ourselves to fit in. But recently, I've been on a mission – a mission to uncover what truly brings me joy, not just what's popular or expected. And let me tell you, it's been incredibly liberating.
One of the biggest hurdles I've faced on this journey is the habit of people-pleasing. Sound familiar? It’s that constant urge to say 'yes' when you mean 'no,' to go along with plans you’re not excited about, or to hide parts of yourself to make others comfortable. For too long, I let the fear of judgment or disapproval dictate my choices. But I've realized something profound: trying to please everyone else only leads to displeasing yourself. It drains your energy, erodes your self-worth, and ultimately, keeps you from discovering your authentic passions.
So, how do we break free and find those unique 'things I love'? It starts with a little self-reflection. What activities make you lose track of time? What topics get you genuinely excited? For me, it's the quiet focus of diving into crossword puzzles, getting lost in a good documentary about pop culture, or the invigorating challenge of hiking a new trail. I even find myself daydreaming about observing safari animals in their natural habitat – pure unadulterated joy! These aren't necessarily 'cool' or 'trendy' activities, but they are *mine*, and they fill my cup in a way nothing else can. The OCR on one of my images even reminded me of these exact passions, which was a lovely confirmation that I’m on the right track!
Embracing authenticity means giving yourself permission to explore these interests, no matter how niche they might seem. It means setting boundaries and learning to say 'no' without guilt. It means understanding that your worth isn’t tied to how much you do for others, but to who you are inherently. It’s about building a life that feels genuinely *yours*, filled with activities, people, and moments that resonate deeply with your soul.
If you're feeling a bit lost in the sea of expectations, take a moment today. Grab a journal, or just sit quietly, and ask yourself: What truly brings me joy? What makes my heart sing, regardless of what anyone else thinks? The answers might surprise you, and they're the first step toward a more authentic, joyful, and confident you. There's nothing more beautiful and powerful than living your truth.
