I got to act with the “bad girl” of drag @willam ‼️ I’m just teasing she didn’t get anyone banned 😝 I loved working with her! It was a full circle moment! I grew up watching her on nip/tuck and all her other roles. She’s a true star 💫 Check out our show on @revrytv and catch the amazing @cwayans and the show’s creator @kitwilliamson everyone did amazing! #actress
Hey everyone! You know, sometimes when you're on set, you get those scenes that just push you to your limits – those truly 'over-the-top' moments that leave you buzzing long after the director yells 'cut!' Working with Willam for our show on RevryTV definitely had some of those. I remember thinking, 'How far can we go with this?' and let me tell you, we went pretty far! It's one thing to watch a dramatic performance, but to actually be in the thick of an intense scene, where you're really pushing boundaries, is a whole other experience. There's so much preparation that goes into it, even for what might seem like a spontaneous, wild moment. You discuss it with your co-stars, the director, sometimes even choreographers, to make sure everyone is safe and on the same page, while still achieving that shocking, memorable impact. We had a few scenes that were so outrageous, they felt like they could get you 'banned from Drag Race' if they were real-life antics! (No, seriously, imagine the chaos!) When a scene is over, especially one that's particularly demanding, there's this incredible mix of relief and exhilaration. All that adrenaline that built up during the take suddenly has nowhere to go. You often find yourself laughing, or sometimes just needing a moment to breathe and shake off the character. It's fascinating to see how different actors handle that transition. Willam, for example, is such a pro. She can go from a completely unhinged character to a calm, witty person in seconds. That's a skill I'm still working on! She shared some amazing insights about committing fully to a character, no matter how extreme. It’s not just about memorizing lines, it’s about understanding the core of that person, even if they’re doing something absolutely wild, like, hypothetically, threatening to 'butt chug a whole handle of honey' in front of people! You have to find the truth in their absurdity. That kind of fearless performance is what makes someone a true star, and it really taught me a lot about diving deep and not holding back. It’s also about trusting your scene partners. When you’re doing something really out there, you need to know that everyone around you has your back. That trust allows you to take those risks and deliver an unforgettable performance. So, when you see those dramatic moments unfold on screen, remember there's a whole lot of intention, collaboration, and courage behind them. It’s not just 'acting over' a line; it’s an entire experience. I hope you guys enjoy watching the show as much as I loved acting in it. It was truly a full-circle moment for me, and I can't wait for you all to see the incredible work everyone put in, especially those unforgettable, boundary-pushing scenes!
