I’m gonna specify that all three hurts like crap when you’re trying to walk 😂😂😂 but it took me about a week to not feel pain for all 3 births.

I was initially afraid to be awake hence the decision to take GA for the first 2. However, my third baby, birthed by Dr Ang, kept reassuring me that I will not feel ANYTHING during the c-section so I decided to trust him and thankfully I did because for once, my husband and I managed to see the birth of our baby live. 🥹❤️

... Read moreHaving experienced three C-section deliveries myself, I can truly relate to the varying pain levels and feelings described in the article. It's interesting to see how different anesthesia approaches—epidural, general, and local anesthetic—impact one’s birth experience. Personally, I found that knowing exactly what to expect helped ease my anxiety each time. The pain immediately after birth can vary widely, as reflected in the star ratings shared. For me, the first C-section under general anesthesia was a blur—I was too groggy to feel much, but the recovery was rough with significant discomfort. The second time with epidural anesthesia, I felt more alert but did experience notable pain post-surgery, especially when moving around. By the third birth, choosing local anesthetic and being awake created a profound emotional connection as I witnessed my baby’s arrival live, though there was moderate discomfort afterward. Walking after a C-section can indeed be challenging. It’s important to have strong emotional support and assistance during that early stage. I found that gentle movement encouraged healing but listening to my body was essential. Interestingly, the combination of pain control methods at Thomson Medical Centre for these three births also highlights how tailored approaches can improve comfort and recovery. Moreover, trusting your medical team plays a significant role. The reassurance from Dr. Ang in this story resonates with me, as confidence in your doctor’s expertise can alleviate fears about being awake during surgery. The chance to share such a precious moment with your partner truly makes a difference emotionally. For anyone preparing for a C-section, it’s beneficial to discuss pain management options thoroughly with your healthcare provider. Everyone’s pain experience is unique, and having a plan that suits your medical needs and personal preferences can lead to a more positive birth story. Remember, recovery varies but generally improves within a week, as highlighted by this account. Sharing stories like these helps expectant mothers feel less alone and more empowered during their own journeys.
